Cats & Kittens
Gracie
With us since: April 2025
Gracie came to us after her finder realized she had a pretty severe ear infection. We took her in and Helping Hands for Animals was able to get her in to spay her, and also address her medical issues. Along with the ear infection, she had a polyp causing the infection, dental issues, and a wound on her neck. She was treated for all these and has healed very well. Gracie will needs lots of time and space to open up to humans. She has been pretty standoffish with the staff, but her finder had been able to pet her while she was living outside near her. Gracie will do best in a quieter home without dogs and small children. She does well with the other cats and likes to play with toys. Wet food is the way to her heart! Gracie is approx. 1 year old, spayed, and fully vaccinated.
Bruno
With us since: May 2025
Bruno came to us with a reported broken leg. He was examined at our vet and monitored at our office and he has had no leg issues. Bruno has been very timid since he has come to us, but he is slowly opening up! He likes pets and scratched behind his ears. He also loves to sit in the windows and watch everything. He does very well with the other cats. Bruno is shy and will need someone to give him time to open up! He would most likely prefer a quieter home. Bruno is approx. 2 years old, fully vaccinated and neutered.
Tally
Meet me at LanCATster Cat Cafe!
With us since: May 2025
Tally is a sweet, happy kitten who’s as brave as she is cute! She came to us with an abscess on her back leg, but after some TLC and treatment, she’s fully healed and back to her playful self. Tally loves to play, explore, and—most of all—enjoy her wet food! She’s great with other cats and has a gentle, curious personality that makes her easy to love. If you’re looking for a fun companion with a big heart and an even bigger appetite, Tally’s your girl! Tally is approx. 6 months old, fully vaccinated, and spayed.
Chappel
With us since: August 2025
Chappel is a resilient little lady who’s already overcome a lot. When she came to us, she was malnourished and had a vaginal infection, but after treatment and care, she’s fully recovered and thriving! This playful girl loves zooming around with her toys and hanging out with other kittens. She also has a soft spot for treats and doesn’t mind a little love and attention in between her energetic play sessions. Chappel is looking for a fun, patient home where she can run, play, and be adored on her own terms. Chappel is approx. 4 months old, fully vaccinated and spayed.
Shimmy
With us since: December 8th, 2025
Shimmy came to us with multiple abscesses. He was treated and has fully recovered! He is now living happily in the main office with other cats. He is fairly independent but is always up for head scratches and pets. He loves his naps on and off human laps. The staff is totally in love with his judging eyes and Tom Cat cheeks! He is neutered and fully vaccinated.
June Bug
With us since: August 2025
June Bug is a gentle, shy soul who prefers a quiet life and plenty of personal space. He came to us with an upper respiratory infection and a possible throat blockage, but after thorough veterinary care and treatment, he has made a full recovery. June Bug is happiest tucked into the cozy cubby holes of the office cat tree, where he can relax and watch the world from a safe distance with his friend Prince. He doesn’t mind the company of other cats and coexists peacefully with them, but he takes his time warming up to people. He’ll need a patient adopter who can give him the space and understanding he needs to slowly build trust. Because of his sensitive nature, June Bug would do best in a very calm home with no children—a quiet, steady environment where he can feel safe and be himself. If you’re looking for a low-key, gentle companion with a soft heart, June Bug may be the perfect match. June Bug is approx. 5 years old, fully vaccinated and neutered.
Otis
came in to us with lethargy and vomiting. His finders also reported he was passing out. He was taken to a vet and we discovered he had worms also. He weighed in at a whopping 20 pounds!! He has been treated for the worms and has recovered from the GI upset. He is working on a diet and exercise program. He is very attention motivated which makes it easy to help him get his steps in. Contrary to his size, his voice is little more than a squeak. This hefty chonk is all love and would benefit from a home where he would get lots of activity and attention.
With us since: December 29th, 2025
Prince
came to us with an upper respiratory infection but it has cleared up nicely now. He is a beautiful 2ish year old with a shy soul. He takes his good old time warming up to people. He has been cohabitating peacefully with other cats. He prefers to spend his time with June Bug in their favorite cat tree. He is most active at night and will go for leisurely walks around the office. Prince is best suited for a home without children.
With us since: August 30th, 2025
Ponyo
This curious creature found himself in a tight spot when he was just a few weeks old. Any guesses as to where? If you guessed a car muffler then you would be correct! Ponyo was super lucky to come out unscathed. Now that he has been neutered and vaccinated he spends his days wreaking havoc in the office. He is so full of energy and loves to play all day! He would be a great addition to any household.
With us since: September 7th, 2025
Moo
is a very serious young man. He is about 5 years old. He came in limping with an abscess on his back leg. Now he gets around as if nothing ever happened. He is a social man. He absolutely loves affection from the humans! However does not like other cats. He will do best as an only cat but not to worry, he has more than enough love for the whole family!
With us since: November 16th, 2025
